NEW CAR

This is such a blessing. My first car as a teenager after shopping patiently for two years, and taking 8 months to complete drivers ed and get my license. We shopped all day long on Memorial day, trying to find good deals and looking in trailer parks on the side of roads, etc. for the perfect car. We wanted something with automatic transmission, high gas mileage, great safety ratings, lots of space inside for skis and family, and under our price range. We left the house with our savings of $3000 looking for something for $2000 so we would have enough money to put work into the vehicle. We were in no rush, setting our hearts on open and looking at places all over the lakes region and down to Concord and back. After giving up from an eventful day, we saw a vehicle across from a stop sign on the way home and my mom recognized the for sale sign in the drivers window. We pulled up to a silver, 2005 Dodge Stratus with less than 104,000 miles on it and a price tag of $2,200. The next day we took the car to the mechanic and discovered it needed over $700 of work. The woman offered the car to us for $1,600. What a great deal. The car books for $5,500 and after doing the brake work and getting used summer tires for it we will own it for probably under $2,500. What a great first car. It's sporty looking, in clean shape, with a 2.7L V6 engine to assure safety and multiple airbags. I am so excited, after the car is registered and installed I hope to be able to drive it, but I'm also waiting to recover from surgery too. It should be fairly good on gas, getting around 26 or 28 mpg. Here's some pics!

  2. You are lucky to get such a gorgeous car at such a low price! My neighbor also purchased a car on a car sale. She was on a tight budget so she wanted to buy a vehicle that suited her family at a very reasonable price. It was a hard search, but she was able to find a car that fits all her specifications. So she immediately grabbed the deal and went home with her “new” pre-owned car! It was not a bad deal since the seller told her that the car was in top condition and only went on minor repairs.

  3. Hi! I am Shelly Nichols, and I am in lyme treatment and have recovered mostly. I had a russian accent, and tremors, seizures, shuffling, but I didn't have light sensitivity or as much pain as you do. I did have my symptoms different everyday like you. It was always a suprise what the day would bring. As I got better, on a good day I could drive. I hope people understand that we can tell when we are having a good day and have no problem driving on those days. Even when talking with an accent I could drive. Well, I want you to know that the raw food diet of eating nothing but raw fruit, veggies and nuts is what my doctor put me on and it made all the difference for me recovering. I appear virtually normal now everyday to people. I am trying to act well because i am getting a divorce and SRS has my children, but I am still very sick with Lyme Disease. My accent I was told, and my husband saying i had a fabricated illness and was just crazy and making up a bunch of lies and getting the children to lie is what is happening to me. On the health front though, I am recovering on the raw food diet and I wanted to tell you about it. I also have lyme and bartonella, and three other coinfections. I hope we can keep in touch. I think our symptoms are so similar so maybe what worked for me and is giving me wellness will work for you. I made videos of me talking with my accent. Shelly Nichols is my facebook page.

  4. Repossessed vehicles are not for impulse buyers. It takes a lot of time and effort in order to find the right car for you. There are a lot of repossessed cars for sale and the selection process can truly be overwhelming.

  5. Even if you failed to find a car in the trailer parks, the good news is that you found a car in the end. You are lucky to have found the car in an unexpected way thanks to your mother’s keen eye seeing the ‘for sale’ signage. Anyway, I do hope you are now fully recovered and driving your sweet Dodge Stratus. Good luck with it!

  6. Woah! This is a very nice car, Elaina! Its sleek design makes it a definite head-turner on the road. It's functionality is no slack either. Its gas tank may be smaller, but the way this car is built, I believe you can go on fun road trip without worrying about how much you spend on gas. Just make sure to take care of it to maintain it on its peak form.
